I first started painting by charting the stars. Then, always trying to touch the unreachable, I worked on representing both sound waves and the alloy formations of meteorites. Today, my paintings still reference these mapping languages, but also integrate new layers of expression, such as the language of geology. I observe them closely, and constantly search for vestiges of figuration through their abstraction, like paleonthologists isolate fossils from soil.
